Itinerary
A sensory introduction to the world's oldest living city.
The Welcome: Your journey begins at the border or airport, transitioning into the heart of Damascus. After a refreshing welcome drink and meeting your storyteller guide, we dive straight into the atmosphere.
Aromatic Wanderings: We skip the main roads to walk through secret alleys where Damascene Jasmine hangs over courtyard walls. You’ll breathe in the heady mix of cumin, cinnamon, and roasted nuts as we navigate the vibrant Old Souks.
Architectural Marvels: Explore the intricate stonework of Azm Palace, the shimmering mosaics of the Umayyad Mosque, and the historic pulse of Straight Street.
The Evening Ritual: We settle at Al-Nofara Café. Here, the smell of strong cardamom coffee pairs with the rhythmic chanting of the Hakawati (The Storyteller). We end the night with a toast at the city’s oldest bar, tucked within the ancient walls.
Tracing the footsteps of the Nabataeans and Romans.
Bosra’s Grandeur: We head south to Bosra, a city carved from black basalt. You will stand in the center of the Great Roman Theatre, the most complete and best-preserved Roman amphitheatre on Earth.
The Ancient Grid: Walk the paved Roman streets, pass through the Nabataean Gate, and imagine the steam of the ancient Roman baths.
Authentic Flavors: Today, we bypass restaurants for a traditional home-cooked meal, experiencing true Syrian hospitality in its purest form.
Spiritual Wonders: On our return, we visit the historic Ezraa's Church and the magnificent, gold-domed Sayyida Zeinab Shrine, before returning to the comforts of Damascus.
A day trip to the Bride of the Desert.
Palmyra Bound: We journey across the steppe to reach Palmyra, an architectural miracle rising from the sand. Wander through the monumental archways and the endless colonnades that once welcomed the great caravans of the Silk Road.
Bedouin Hospitality: Enjoy lunch at the Bedouin Corner, tasting the rugged and delicious cuisine of the desert nomads.
Return to the Oasis: After a day of exploring Zenobia’s empire, we drive back to the jasmine-scented streets of Damascus for your overnight stay.
Finding peace in the labyrinth.
Hidden Gems: We spend our final morning, by visiting the Chapel of Saint Ananias, where history changed forever in a small underground room. We will visit the Jewish Quarter, famous for its stunning residential architecture and quiet charm.
The Final Pause: Enjoy a quiet moment at Al-Qishleh Café, a local favorite, watching the city wake up over a final cup of tea or coffee.
Safe Passage: We’ll take a final stroll through the ancient "Harrat" (neighborhoods) before escorting you to the airport or border for your departure.
This itinerary prioritizes the atmosphere of the locations—the black stone of Bosra, the golden sand of Palmyra, and the green vines of Damascus—giving you a 360-degree view of Syria’s heritage.
