Cancellation & Refund Policy

Overview

Travel expenses represent a significant portion of our operational commitments. Syria Caravans incurs the majority of costs—including equipment, staffing, administration, and logistics—well before a tour begins. Therefore, cancellation fees are applied to cover these non-recoverable expenses.

Cancellation Fees

  1. Deposit: The 30% booking deposit is strictly non-refundable.
  2. 30+ Days Before Departure: A full refund of the remaining balance (excluding the deposit and any bank collection or transfer fees) will be issued.
  3. 15 to 30 Days Before Departure: A 50% refund of the total tour price (excluding bank collection and transfer fees) will be issued.
  4. Within 14 Days of Departure: No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within two weeks of the start date.
  5. Operator Cancellation: If Syria Caravans must cancel a tour for any reason, a 100% refund (including the deposit) will be issued to the client.

Note: The arrival date on your flight ticket serves as the official indicator for the “Departure Day.” Tailor-made tours may be subject to alternative cancellation terms, which will be communicated to the client at the time of booking.

How to Cancel

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by the person who completed the original booking form. Please send an email to your primary company contact with a carbon copy (CC) to booking@syriacaravans.com.

During the Tour

Once a tour has commenced, no refunds will be provided for any unused portions of the itinerary or services. If you choose to alter the tour or depart early, such changes will be entirely at your own expense and liability. In the event of an early departure, you must provide a written explanation to the tour operator stating your reason for leaving.
