When a third traveler joins, an additional 7% discount is applied on top of your Step 3 discounted rate (reaching a maximum combined total savings of up to 17% off the base price). This is the final discount tier—no further discounts are applied if more travelers join later, with a maximum cap of 7 travelers per group.

What happens if I choose the Smart-Travel Collective option and no one else joins?
Your journey remains 100% guaranteed. If no other travelers join your chosen dates by the 25-day cut-off deadline, your program proceeds as a private, solo adventure at our standard single traveler rates. You never risk losing your trip—you only gain the opportunity for a lower price.
Is my discount guaranteed if a joining traveler later cancels?
Yes. Once a second traveler confirms and triggers your 10% discount (or a third traveler triggers the additional 7% discount), your savings are permanently locked in. Even if another participant cancels later, we honor your discount as a reward for opening your dates to the collective.
What is the maximum size of a Smart-Travel Collective group?
To preserve the bespoke intimacy, flexibility, and quality of our journeys, group sizes are strictly capped at a maximum of seven (7) travelers.
How late can another traveler join my scheduled trip?
The booking window for new joiners closes exactly twenty-five (25) days prior to your departure date. This cut-off allows us to finalize all local transport, hotel arrangements, and final billing with complete certainty.
Will I be forced to share a room with a stranger?
Not at all. Rooming options are structured around your personal preference:
- As a Solo Initiator: You start with single occupancy pricing. If you explicitly consent to room-sharing, your base rate automatically drops to double occupancy pricing as soon as a compatible same-sex traveler joins and agrees to share.
- As a Joiner: You select your preferred room style (Single Occupancy with a single supplement, or Double Occupancy) directly at the time of reservation.
Can I change my travel dates after my booking is confirmed?
Yes, but to protect group pricing for other participants, strict conditions apply. You cannot initiate a new private program or new travel dates. Instead, you must select and transfer to an open date from our public “Confirmed Programs Available for Joinder” directory.
What are the fees associated with changing my travel dates?
Date amendments require a mandatory rescheduling fee equal to 25% of your original deposit (plus any applicable bank transfer fees). If the new program falls into a different pricing season, you must also cover the seasonal rate difference. Your new dates are confirmed once these fees are processed.
Is my deposit refundable?
No. Upon booking confirmation, your initial deposit is strictly non-refundable. This deposit secures non-recoverable vendor bookings (hotels, transport, staffing) and protects the locked-in group discounts established for your fellow travelers.
